Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gracie Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Right Back At It Again. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gracie Piechocki enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gracie Piechocki!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piechocki scores with a takedown into William's guard.
William can't keep his opponent in guard - Piechocki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Piechocki is looking for a kimura here.
William tries to get to full guard but Piechocki has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piechocki slows the pace down in half guard.

Piechocki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and William defends it well.
William on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if William tries to get out of the position.

Piechocki is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from William as he works his way to full guard.
William wants to stand up but Piechocki is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
William is trying to keep Piechocki in close.

Piechocki has gone for a leg lock! William slips out almost immediately though and dives into Piechocki's guard.

William seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close round but I would say that David William will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



William shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Piechocki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
William will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Piechocki pulls William in to control the position.
William knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Piechocki on the ground.
Piechocki controls William momentarily but William frees himself.
William wants to get up but he can't break Piechocki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

William fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Piechocki sprawls well initially but William persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

David William overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

William shoots in and gets a takedown into Piechocki's guard.

That's time! William's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



William bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Piechocki is being controlled here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

William shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
William working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Piechocki is refusing to be controlled, as William sits in half guard.
Piechocki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well William has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
