Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Barzini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spamony Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barzini.
Nice takedown defense from Jenkins. No joy for Barzini on that attempt.
Jenkins lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Barzini tries to sprawl but Jenkins drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jenkins tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barzini knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Barzini is not content to let Jenkins control the position.
Jenkins seems to be working for a kimura but Barzini defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins with the ground and pound but Barzini uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Jenkins wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Barzini's closed guard. He's half up but Barzini has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Barzini pivots and extends the arm, Jenkins falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Barzini! Well done that man!
