Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Rollins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frederick Bowles! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Rollins enables Bowles to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rollins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Bowles tries to stand but Rollins is controlling from the bottom. Bowles trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom. Rollins really is a fat lump. Bowles looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bowles looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rollins showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bowles working a defensive guard but Rollins manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rollins controlling the position. Rollins fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bowles wants to get back to his feet but Rollins drags him back down. Bowles struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bowles is trying to improve his position. A lull in the action here. Bowles is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here as Rollins stalls from top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rollins takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rollins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bowles trying to control from the bottom.
Rollins looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bowles is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rollins jumps into side control! Bowles is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rollins is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Bowles has given up his back here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowles is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Bowles rolls, trying to escape but Rollins keeps control of the position.

Rollins controls the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bowles trying to get back to his feet but Rollins is in full control for now. Rollins is hanging on to Bowles's back as he tries to escape.

It looks like Nolan Rollins has been cut. Bowles throws a right and a left that both miss. Bowles misses with a wild combination.

Bowles pivots, looking for a leg kick but Rollins is out of range and Bowles settles back down. Rollins throws a big counter combination but Bowles scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Frederick Bowles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rollins takes a body punch but keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rollins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bowles. Bowles throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Rollins crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
