Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santos Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes into the arena with Wassup - by ASAP Rocky blaring out of the sound system. Steel has chosen Its a Fight as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santos Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julius Steel! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan closes the distance and clinches. Ryan looks to throw an elbow but misses. Ryan putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Steel in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Steel breaks from the clinch.
Steel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ryan. Ryan shoots in and bounces Steel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ryan is looking to work some ground and pound but Steel has wrist control. Steel wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ryan manages to pass to side control. Ryan seems to be working for a kimura but Steel defends the submission attempt. Ryan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel wants to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steel can do anything to dispel that myth. Ryan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Steel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ryan. Ryan stops Steel from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Steel trying to control here.
Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ryan thows a huge punch but Steel dodges it nicely.
Ryan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Steel defend it? Ryan steps over the head and cranks it - Steel is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ryan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Santos Ryan! Santos Ryan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
