Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Mcdaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuka Minori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuka Minori told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Esteban Mcdaniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuka Minori!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minori misses with a jab, cross combination.
Minori throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mcdaniel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mcdaniel throwing strikes but missing.
Minori wants to get back to his feet but Mcdaniel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mcdaniel is looking to work some ground and pound but Minori has wrist control.
Minori avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mcdaniel gets to his feet - Minori follows without any prompting.
Minori gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcdaniel is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcdaniel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Minori lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcdaniel circles away quickly and effectively.
Minori swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mcdaniel moves into the clinch.
Minori has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mcdaniel regains guard immediately.

Mcdaniel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mcdaniel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Minori lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Minori postures up and lands a big shot to Mcdaniel's brow.
Mcdaniel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Minori's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Minori holds on and takes a little breather.
Mcdaniel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Minori's head.

Mcdaniel distracts Minori with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mcdaniel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Minori is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mcdaniel is staying active underneath Minori, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Minori is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Mcdaniel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Minori scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Minori is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mcdaniel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Minori.
Minori wants to stand but Mcdaniel has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Mcdaniel gets back to full guard.

Minori distracts Mcdaniel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Minori lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Mcdaniel wants to sweep but no luck.
Mcdaniel is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Minori wants to control from the top but Mcdaniel keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Minori throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mcdaniel counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minori is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Minori tries to roll over but Mcdaniel keeps him under control.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Mcdaniel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Minori sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Esteban Mcdaniel will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Minori!
Mcdaniel is rocked!
Minori changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Mcdaniel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Minori has managed to clinch.
Minori pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mcdaniel tries to get into range but Minori steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Mcdaniel! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Minori scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kazuka Minori!
