Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan McKay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKay comes into the arena with Land Down Under blaring out of the sound system. Koski has chosen Accept - Head Over Heels as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dylan McKay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Koski!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

It looks like Dylan McKay has been cut.
McKay dips to his left and cracks Koski with an uppercut!

McKay looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The fight stays on the outside here - Koski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Koski shoots in for a takedown but McKay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McKay slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Koski takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
McKay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McKay blocks a low kick nicely.
Koski takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Koski throws a front kick aimed at McKay's knee but McKay avoids it well.

and Koski counters with a shoot takedown. McKay fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McKay holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan McKay will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Koski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McKay's guard.

Koski is stalling here. McKay is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Koski seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McKay has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Koski is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McKay tries to stand and escape but Koski actually recovers to full guard.

Koski is looking for a triangle but McKay pushes his legs off easily.
McKay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Koski is trying to keep McKay in close.

Koski pulls McKay in close to prevent any damage.
McKay tries to stand but Koski is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McKay is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
McKay tries to score with a low kick but Koski moves his leg out of the way.
And Koski tries to counter it with a takedown but McKay pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and McKay counters with a nice uppercut.

Koski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Koski takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McKay has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McKay and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McKay dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Koski is breathing heavily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McKay throws the left hand but Koski avoids the punch easily.
And Koski tries to counter it with a takedown but McKay pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Koski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Koski lands with an uppercut that bounces McKay off the cage and back into range.
McKay connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
McKay throws a body shot but no joy.
McKay takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Koski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McKay lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McKay is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Koski can do to turn this around?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McKay here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Koski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

That has opened up Juan Koski's cut even more.
McKay connects with a looping right hand.

McKay throws a quick counter kick to the body but Koski avoids it.

Koski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McKay cracks Koski with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Koski falls to his knees and McKay doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan McKay!
An out of breath Dylan McKay thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
