Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill. Luke Duke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Barnes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Duke! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes tries to clinch up but Duke circles away and keeps his distance. Duke dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Duke's head and hops out. Barnes connects with a nice looking jab.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Duke was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Barnes enables Duke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barnes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Duke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Barnes has momentary wrist control but Duke slips an elbow through the middle. Duke stopping the sweep attempt from Barnes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnes is working hard here to advance position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barnes works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Barnes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duke throws a big right hand that misses. Barnes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Duke missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Duke drives through with a takedown into Barnes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnes is breathing heavily. Barnes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Duke lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Duke looking to pass the guard. Duke is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Duke postures up in Barnes's guard and throws a big left but Barnes blocks it. Duke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Barnes's head. Barnes has momentary wrist control but Duke slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Barnes is rocked! Duke stands up over Barnes, holding on to his feet. Duke throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Barnes is out cold! Duke lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Luke Duke!
