Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Zangief (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zangief darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Zangief slows the pace down in half guard.

Zangief looks to land a strike but Pu avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Pu has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Zangief has passed into side control.
Zangief throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

You can see the frustration on Pu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We've been hearing good reports from Pu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zangief goes for a double leg but Pu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pu continues to drive forward.
Pu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zangief momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Pu throws a right and a left that Zangief avoids nicely.
Zangief chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pu can pounce on him.

Zangief wants the takedown. Pu is fighting it off but Zangief persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pu's guard against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zangief is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pu is just riding it out for now. Zangief eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rudy Pu will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

As Pu backs off Zangief throws a huge counter combo but Pu manages to avoid it all.

Zangief shoots in looking for a takedown but Pu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zangief's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Zangief throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pu was covering up waiting for the punch and Zangief finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd cheers as Pu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zangief doesn't seem phased though.
Zangief takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zangief closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pu circles away.

Zangief changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pu tries to avoid it but Zangief manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pu to the ground. Pu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
