Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dereck Catone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Navas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando Navas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dereck Catone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fernando Navas! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Catone walks into a left hand. Navas instigates a clinch. Catone tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Catone tries to pull guard but Navas forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Nice body punch from Navas - that landed with a thud.
Navas pushes Catone back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Navas lands a body punch in the clinch. Navas scores with a nice hook to the head. Catone swings wildly with an uppercut but Navas uses good head movement to avoid it. Navas connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Dereck Catone has been cut. Navas landing knees to the head.
Catone is rocked! Navas lands a body punch in the clinch. The referee calls for Navas to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Navas continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. A short left from Navas. Navas has Catone pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catone wants to get back to striking at distance but Navas won't allow it.
Catone takes a knee to the side of the body. Catone has Navas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Navas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dereck Catone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Catone is breathing heavily. Navas leaning his opponent against the cage. Navas lands a left hand that snaps the head of Catone backwards. A right hand to the body from Navas.
Navas lands with a short shot to the head. Catone takes a knee to the side of the body. A short right hand to the side of the head by Navas. Navas lands on the inside with an uppercut. Navas lands a nice uppercut. Catone takes a knee right on the jaw!
Oh Catone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Navas lands a body shot in the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Navas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Catone seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Navas scores with a shoulder strike. Navas has Catone pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Catone is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Navas - that's hurt Catone badly! Oh, another knee lands and Catone is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Catone doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Fernando Navas! Fernando Navas got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
