Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rostam Samani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tired and clearly flustered, he entered the arena late and after a little discussion it was decided that the bout should take place.
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rostam Samani and Simo Silakka. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simo Silakka!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silakka lands a head shot.
Silakka tries to work over Samani's front leg with a kick but Samani checks it.
Silakka missing with a left hand there. Samani was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silakka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice shot lands for Silakka.
Silakka throws a low kick but it's checked well by Samani.
Silakka lands with a thumping leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silakka.
Silakka lands a jab.
Samani connects with the punch.
Silakka lands a leg kick that knocks Samani off balance momentarily.
Samani displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silakka throws out the jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samani takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Silakka sends Samani crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Silakka is motioning to the referee to let Samani up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Silakka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Samani blocks a jab.
Silakka throws a leg kick that misses.
Silakka throws a leg kick but Samani moved away.
Samani waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silakka.
Silakka misses with a low kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Samani.
Silakka throws a shot from downtown. Samani moves away and avoids it.
Silakka lands a right hook to the body.
A low kick from Silakka is predictable there
and Samani counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Silakka has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Silakka throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Silakka wants to stand up but Samani is controlling him.
Silakka looking for a sweep. Not yet Silakka, not yet.
Samani has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Silakka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Samani manages to get himself to full guard.
Silakka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samani has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silakka has managed to get both his arms back between Samani's legs - danger averted.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A slapping leg kick lands for Samani.
Silakka misses with the combination.
Samani tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Samani misses with an uppercut. Silakka saw that one coming.
Silakka feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Samani sprawling to the canvas! Samani rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Silakka finish him?!
Samani motions for Silakka to come forward. Samani throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Samani fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A low kick from Silakka misses
and Samani counters with a single leg into guard. Silakka didn't expect that.
Silakka manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Samani has had enough of the clinch but Silakka keeps him there for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simo Silakka dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silakka motions for Samani to come forward. Silakka throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Samani appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Silakka drops Samani with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Samani looks back up at him and smiles so Silakka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Samani is rocked!
Silakka throws a solid leg kick but Samani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Silakka.
Samani feinted with a counter takedown.
Silakka throws a leg kick that misses.
Silakka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Samani tries to counter with a takedown but Silakka is quick to defend against it.
Silakka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Silakka scores with a nice strike.
Oh Samani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silakka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Samani seems to have got his legs back now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silakka feints and then cracks Samani's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Samani down.
Silakka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Samani at a distance.
Silakka darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Samani's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Silakka before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simo Silakka!
