Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pat Pillman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Pat Pillman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pillman wants to clinch up but Coleman keeps it at a distance.
Pillman darts in looking for a takedown but Coleman gets double underhooks and turns Pillman into the cage.
Coleman shoots in but no luck this time.

Coleman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pillman tries to roll over but Coleman keeps him under control.
Coleman is looking to advance position but Pillman won't allow it.

Coleman stands up from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman leaves Pillman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pillman darts in looking for a takedown but Coleman gets double underhooks and turns Pillman into the cage.

Coleman fails to land the takedown.
Pillman throws a head kick but Coleman moves out of range.
Pillman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coleman avoids it really well and circles away.

Pillman stuffs the takedown attempt from Coleman. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet.
As Coleman tries to get set, Pillman tries to push him back and clinch up but Coleman manages to avoid the attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pillman enables Coleman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pillman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Pillman is trying to control but can't.
Pillman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Coleman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Coleman prevents Pillman from improving his position.
Well, if Coleman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pillman wants to control but Coleman passes into side.
Coleman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pillman down.

Coleman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pillman tries for a takedown but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pillman throws a combination that misses

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pillman is breathing heavily.
Coleman passes to side control.

Coleman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pillman, who protects the arm well.
Coleman just content to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Coleman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pillman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Coleman sprawls well. Coleman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pillman gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pillman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Coleman has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Coleman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pillman is surviving well by controlling Coleman's body position as best he can.

Pillman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Coleman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Pillman falls off balance throwing a combination

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Coleman stays in close to Pillman's body and controls the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coleman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pillman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Coleman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Coleman stuffs the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Coleman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Coleman wants to clinch up but Pillman keeps it at a distance.

Coleman gets a double leg takedown into Pillman's guard.
Coleman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Pillman scores with a jab. Coleman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Coleman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Coleman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Coleman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pillman some visible discomfort.
Pillman is looking to reverse the position.
Coleman happy to just control the position for now.

Sean Coleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Coleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
