Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Freedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClane comes to the ring accompanied by Refuse/Resist. Marcus Freedman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McClane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus Freedman!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freedman tries to close the distance and clinch but McClane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Freedman looks to throw the jab but McClane is out of range.
Marcus Freedman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freedman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McClane is trying to defend but Freedman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Freedman is working for a submission of some sort.
Freedman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Freedman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Freedman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McClane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Freedman.

McClane is looking for a sweep. Freedman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McClane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McClane tries to get out of the position.

Freedman seems to be working for a kimura but McClane defends the submission attempt.
McClane is looking to control Freedman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McClane avoid being mounted?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Freedman wants to free his trapped foot but McClane is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McClane looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Freedman is looking for a kimura but McClane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Freedman to get the leverage.
Freedman passes to full mount!

Freedman working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Freedman looking to ground and pound but McClane is blocking nicely.

Freedman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McClane can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Freedman moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, McClane has worked his arm free - good work by McClane!

McClane wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Freedman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
McClane circles away from the clinch attempt.
McClane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Freedman darts in looking for a takedown but McClane gets double underhooks and turns Freedman into the ropes.
Freedman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McClane.
McClane lands with a hook. Freedman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
No luck for Freedman with that takedown attempt.

Freedman fails with the takedown.
John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Freedman.

McClane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McClane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McClane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Freedman on the ground.
Freedman wants to pass the guard but McClane is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Freedman works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Freedman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Freedman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Freedman misses with a takedown attempt - McClane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
McClane looks to score with a jab to the body but Freedman is just out of range.
McClane misses with a low kick.
Freedman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McClane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
McClane keeps the fight on the outside.
McClane swats away the attempt to clinch by Freedman.
McClane appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Freedman fails to land the takedown.
John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Freedman.

McClane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Freedman throws a lazy uppercut
and McClane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Freedman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McClane sprawls well. McClane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Freedman gets slowly back to his feet.
Freedman lands with a cross.

McClane throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
McClane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jab, jab by McClane - just one landing.
Freedman fails to land the takedown.
Freedman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Good leg kick by McClane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McClane lands with a nice body kick.
Freedman shoots in for a takedown but McClane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A quick step to the side and McClane tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
McClane throws a series of punches but Freedman moves out of range.
Freedman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but McClane paws at him with a jab and circles away.
John McClane is winning the standup battle so far.
Freedman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Freedman is breathing heavily.
Freedman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McClane to score with a decent uppercut.
Freedman takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from McClane. No joy for Freedman on that attempt.
Freedman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McClane connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Freedman scrambles back to his feet.
Freedman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McClane digs a good hook to Freedman's body.
McClane lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Freedman at a distance.
Marcus Freedman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheers as McClane lands an impressive looking overhand right. Freedman doesn't seem phased though.
Freedman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A left and a right from McClane both land. Nice combination.
McClane scores with a leg kick.
Freedman dives in and grabs McClane's left leg, looking for a takedown. McClane pushes down on Freedman's head and hops out.
McClane ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McClane stuffs the takedown.
Freedman tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McClane throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Freedman! But no joy.
McClane cracks a nice hook into Freedman's ribs.
McClane throws a quick inside leg kick.
McClane is looking to wear down Freedman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Freedman takes one on the chin but seems OK.
McClane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A jab from McClane does it's job there.
Good exchange - McClane coming out on top.
Freedman darts in looking for a takedown but McClane gets double underhooks and turns Freedman into the ropes.
McClane half committed to a counter leg kick.

McClane throws a body shot but no joy.
McClane throws a nice outside leg kick.
McClane defending well as Freedman loads up on a big left hand.
McClane just misses with a punch to the body.
McClane works the jab nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Freedman!


It looks like John McClane has been cut.
McClane lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Freedman tries to clinch but McClane moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of McClane 's head but he takes it in his stride.
McClane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McClane fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Freedman wants to clinch.
That kick from McClane tenderised Freedman's leg. Freedman is trying to keep his angry face on.
McClane lands a nice leg kick that just misses Freedman's sensitive parts.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Good shot there by McClane.
Freedman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Freedman works the jab nicely.
Freedman fails with a takedown attempt.
Donk. McClane catches Freedman right on the button with a cross.
McClane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nice takedown defense from McClane. No joy for Freedman on that attempt.
McClane fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Freedman walks into a straight right hand from McClane.
Freedman takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


Freedman is rocked!
McClane drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Freedman's head, knocking him out cold! McClane is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John McClane!
John McClane seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
