Kampemann has chosen pretty enough as his entrance music. Martin Kampemann is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Carter Williams ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Kampemann! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kampemann steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williams . Kampemann shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well. Kampemann darts in looking for a takedown but Williams gets double underhooks and turns Kampemann into the ropes. Williams swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing. Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kampemann drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Nice sprawl there from Williams as Kampemann shoots in. Michael Carter Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Kampemann. No joy there for Williams , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams throws a series of punches but Kampemann moves out of range. Kampemann showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Williams .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kampemann avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kampemann throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Williams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kampemann is in Williams 's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kampemann preventing the sweep. Kampemann wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams wants to stand but Kampemann is controlling the position. Williams has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kampemann prevents Williams from getting back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kampemann rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Williams swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Williams swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kampemann fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams , pushing him back against the ropes. Williams breaks the clinch.
Kampemann displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab. Williams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kampemann misses with a double jab.
Kampemann gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Williams has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Annihilation Muay Thai in the buildup to the fight. Kampemann avoids the body shot from Williams .
Kampemann tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily enabling Williams to counter with a crisp jab. A jab from Kampemann misses. Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kampemann throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily. A slow jab from Kampemann misses its intended target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throws a lazy right hand but Kampemann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kampemann throws a head kick that misses. Kampemann swings and misses with a shot to the body and Williams counters with a nice uppercut. Williams misses with an uppercut. Kampemann saw that one coming. Williams tests Kampemann's chin there with a solid looking shot. Williams moves away from the strike by Kampemann. Kampemann shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Williams on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kampemann. Kampemann obviously looking to wear him down.
Williams throws out a loose jab but Kampemann uses good head movement to avoid it. Kampemann has a takedown stuffed. Kampemann looks winded! A decent looking cross lands there for Williams . Kampemann looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Kampemann misses the target. It looked like Williams wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Kampemann takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kampemann moves away from the strike by Williams . The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kampemann shoots in looking for a takedown but Williams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kampemann's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kampemann ducks under a wild hook from Williams . And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kampemann! But no joy. Williams misses the jab. Williams lands a body shot.

Kampemann takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Williams lands a really nice looking cross but Kampemann seems unphased.
Williams tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kampemann was well out of range. Poor timing from Williams . Kampemann drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Williams defends it well. Williams lands a left and a right that send Kampemann crashing to the mat, dazed. Williams thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kampemann is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Carter Williams dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kampemann misses with a lunging right hand
and Williams scores with a counter punch that sends Kampemann to the canvas! Williams smells blood - he's punishing Kampemann with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kampemann has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Carter Williams ! In his post fight interview, Michael Carter Williams started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. The defeated Martin Kampemann had this to say: 'i decided not to continue fighting. this was my last fight competing in mma, thanks everybody for supporting me.'.
