Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myers Hockles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matoshin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mortal Kombat theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Myers Hockles!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hockles lands a head kick!
Myers Hockles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matoshin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hockles.
Sloppy strikes from Matoshin. Those never looked like landing.
Hockles throws a body kick that misses.
Hockles throws a sloppy head kick and Matoshin moves out of range easily.
Matoshin thows a leg kick but Hockles checks it
and Hockles finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Matoshin misses the shot to the body.
Hockles throws a head kick but Matoshin moves out of range.
Hockles shoots in looking for a takedown but Matoshin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hockles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hockles throws a half hearted mid kick.
Matoshin is looking to counter punch.
Hockles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matoshin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hockles misses with an attempted mid kick.
Matoshin scores with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Matoshin.
Matoshin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Hockles shoots in but no luck this time.

Hockles throws a push kick but Matoshin slaps the foot to one side.
Matoshin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Matoshin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hockles has time to react.

Matoshin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hockles momentarily.

Matoshin takes a swing at Hockles's ribcage but misses.
Matoshin throws a low kick, looking for Hockles's leg but Hockles calmly moves out of range.

Hockles tries a head kick but it misses.
Matoshin is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hockles on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Matoshin. Hockles does a little dance to reset his feet.

It looked like Matoshin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Matoshin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Matoshin throws a shot from downtown. Hockles moves away and avoids it.
Hockles throws a counter combo.
Hockles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matoshin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hockles lands a high kick!
Matoshin avoids the head kick by Hockles.

Hockles darts in looking for a takedown but Matoshin gets double underhooks and turns Hockles into the cage.
Toshi Matoshin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myers Hockles.
Hockles slips a jab and a cross from Matoshin.
Matoshin connects with a right hand. Hockles shakes it off.

Matoshin misses with a leg kick.
Hockles walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Matoshin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Matoshin stuns Hockles with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hockles is looking to clinch but Matoshin is avoiding it.
Hockles moves out of range of the body kick.
Matoshin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Matoshin lands a lovely overhand right.
Hockles misses with a head kick.
Matoshin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Matoshin throws a jab but it's blocked by Hockles.
Hockles throws a sloppy head kick and Matoshin moves out of range easily.
Hockles misses with an attempted mid kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hockles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toshi Matoshin dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hockles throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
An attempted straight right counter from Matoshin misses the target.
Hockles feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Matoshin's calf.
A left lands for Matoshin.
Matoshin swings for the body but Hockles moves out of range.
An inside leg kick lands from Hockles.
Matoshin throws out a loose jab but Hockles uses good head movement to avoid it.
Matoshin lands a glancing blow to the side of Hockles's head.
Matoshin misses with a looping left.
Hockles unleashes a big counter combination but Matoshin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Hockles moves into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Hockles.
Hockles putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Matoshin in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Matoshin is trying to drag Hockles to the mat but Hockles just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Matoshin manages to pull guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hockles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hockles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hockles is looking to work some ground and pound but Matoshin has wrist control.
Matoshin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hockles trying to control the position from guard on top but Matoshin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Matoshin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hockles can do to turn this around?
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Matoshin is on top in guard.

Matoshin seems to be working for a kimura but Hockles defends the submission attempt.

Hockles is trying to control but Matoshin manages to pass to mount!

Hockles is squirming around, avoiding Matoshin's attempts to control the action.
Matoshin wants to take Hockles's back but he can't do it this time.

Matoshin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hockles is on top in guard.
Hockles throwing strikes but missing.

Hockles slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Hockles looking to improve position, pressing down on Matoshin's thigh with his hand. Matoshin seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Hockles paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Hockles's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Matoshin picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Toshi Matoshin!
A relieved looking Toshi Matoshin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
