Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sebastian Rutten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Henrique Rizzi! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rutten misses with a looping right. Crunch! Rutten slams his shin into Rizzi's torso. Rizzi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rutten, pushing him back against the cage. Rizzi managing to block the knees to the body from Rutten.
Rizzi blocks a body shot from Rutten. Rutten is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rizzi is defending well for now. Rutten misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rizzi.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rutten won't allow Rizzi to get back to his feet. Rutten wants to stand but Rizzi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

and Rutten counters with a series of strikes. Rizzi will be more careful next time no doubt. Rizzi has Rutten up against the cage in a clinch.

Rutten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rutten wants it to stay on the feet. Rutten fires out a quick counter leg kick but Rizzi just manages to avoid it. Rutten manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rutten looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rutten tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rizzi avoids it. Rizzi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rutten gets the underhooks and prevents it.

and Rutten counters with an outside leg kick.

Rizzi lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Rutten circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rutten keeps the fight on the outside. Rizzi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rutten looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Rutten takes a swing at Rizzi's ribcage but misses. Rutten plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rutten misses with a wild combination.

Rutten lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rizzi circles away quickly and effectively. Rizzi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rutten sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rizzi somewhat. Rizzi is breathing heavily. A leg kick checked by Rizzi. Rutten misses with a double jab.
Rizzi moves into range and clinches up with Rutten. Rizzi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rutten throws a shot from downtown. Rizzi moves away and avoids it. Rizzi appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. A punch combination from Rutten misses. A good leg kick by Rutten. Rizzi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rutten tries to bum rush Rizzi with a series of wild strikes but Rizzi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rutten tries a head kick but it misses.

Sebastian Rutten dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Rizzi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rizzi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rutten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rizzi darts in and clinches Rutten up against the cage. A short right from Rizzi on the inside. Rutten is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rizzi is defending well for now. Rutten misses with a knee strike.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rizzi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rutten sprawls well. Rutten wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rizzi gets slowly back to his feet. Rizzi fails in his attempt to clinch. Rutten looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rizzi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Pedro Henrique Rizzi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sebastian Rutten is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rizzi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rutten pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Sebastian Rutten showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rutten, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
