Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Chow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Cortes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Chow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felipe Cortes! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chow misses with a double jab.
Cortes misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cortes lands a nice hook to Chow's body. Chow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cortes clinches up with Chow and pushes him back against the ropes. Chow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cortes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chow as he jumps to the side. The fight stays on the outside here - Cortes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A telegraphed right hand from Chow misses the target. Chow has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cortes finds it's way round the side to connect with Chow's head. Chow throws a right and a left that Cortes avoids nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Lee Chow has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Cortes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Chow breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortes scores with a nice head shot. Cortes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cortes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chow moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cortes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chow stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Cortes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Chow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cortes lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Chow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cortes is looking for a sweep. Chow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chow wants to take a breather but Cortes is having none of it. Cortes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Cortes tries to roll over but Chow keeps him under control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chow works his way into side control. Cortes is trying to get back to half guard. Chow sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cortes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chow looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Cortes is avoiding damage well.
Chow trying to control the position but Cortes is working away. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Cortes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Chow moves into full mount! Cortes is squirming around, avoiding Chow's attempts to control the action. Chow unloads with some shots from mount but Cortes bucks and avoids them well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cortes holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Chow tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Chow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cortes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cortes tries to hold on but Chow postures up. Cortes really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Chow pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Chow dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lee Chow will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lee Chow's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Chow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cortes throws a leg kick but Chow moved away. Chow attempts a counter takedown but Cortes avoids it well and moves away. Cortes throws an overhand right that lands on Chow's shoulder, as Chow tries to avoid the shot. Chow throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cortes. Chow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Cortes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chow as he jumps to the side. Chow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cortes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chow walks into a stiff left hand from Cortes. Chow walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Cortes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chow appears to be looking for a big counter. Chow ducks under a wild hook from Cortes. Chow misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cortes takes a swing at Chow's ribcage but misses. Chow tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cortes manages to circle out of the way. This has been an exciting period of action! Cortes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A quick step to the side and Chow tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Chow misses with a body shot
and Cortes counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chow on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cortes rushes Chow and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Cortes goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cortes is defending well against a takedown attempt. Cortes stalling in the clinch but Chow improves position. Chow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Horrible takedown attempt by Chow or perhaps it was just good defense by Cortes, which made it look bad. Cortes fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chow checks it well. Cortes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cortes tries to avoid it but Chow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cortes to the ground. Cortes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Chow. That's going to take a lot out of him. A swing and a miss from Chow. Cortes scores with a jab to the jaw. Chow fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cortes clinches with his opponent.
Chow looking to slow down the pace here. Chow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lee Chow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chow is looking to clinch but Cortes is avoiding it.
Cortes lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Lee Chow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cortes stalks Chow and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chow's face. Chow staggers backwards, shaken. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cortes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chow doesn't seem bothered though. Cortes darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Cortes lands with an overhand left. Cortes lands a nice hook to Chow's body. Chow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Chow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cortes lands a jab to Chow's midsection. Chow throws a predictable looking body shot
and Cortes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortes tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Chow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jab from Cortes. Cortes is looking to clinch. Cortes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Cortes jabs at Chow's body. Cortes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chow avoids it really well and circles away. Cortes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chow's waist but Chow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cortes off to one side. Cortes lands with a good body shot. Cortes stuffs the takedown attempt from Chow. Chow gets slowly back to his feet. Cortes wants to clinch. Chow is looking to wear down Cortes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cortes tries to clinch there but Chow circles away.
Chow is looking for a counter combo. Cortes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Felipe Cortes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lee Chow's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Cortes jabs at Chow's body. Chow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cortes circles away. Chow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Cortes paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chow throws a body punch but Cortes moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Cortes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Chow throws a body punch but Cortes moves out of range. Cortes cracks Chow with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Cortes thuds a left hand into Chow's body. Chow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cortes circles away quickly and effectively. Cortes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chow circles away. Chow dives in and scores a takedown into Cortes's guard. Cortes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cortes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cortes controls Chow momentarily but Chow frees himself. Cortes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Chow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cortes's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cortes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Cortes keeping moving, preventing Chow from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Cortes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chow. Chow throws a nice looking combination but Cortes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chow tries to clinch there but Cortes circles away.
Chow looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Chow wants to clinch up but Cortes keeps it at a distance. Cortes jabs at Chow's body. Cortes lands a body shot.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cortes. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nice body punch from Cortes. Cortes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cortes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cortes. Cortes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chow circles away. Chow missing with a left hand there. Cortes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chow takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Cortes dives in for a single leg takedown but Chow sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Lee Chow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Cortes. Chow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cortes. Chow has a takedown stuffed. Chow shoots in but Cortes avoids the takedown attempt easily. Felipe Cortes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chow shoots in looking for a takedown. Cortes tries to sprawl out of it but Chow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Cortes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cortes feints a jab promting Chow to slip. Cortes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Chow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Cortes lands with a straight right. Chow didn't see that one coming. Chow is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cortes. Good work by Chow as he checks the leg kick. Chow takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Chow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cortes works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cortes fails with the takedown. As Cortes looks to move away, Chow throws a big counter combo bu Cortes just gets out of the way. Cortes scores with a body shot.
Cortes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chow at a distance.

Cortes connects with the punch. Cortes moves in looking to clinch but Chow pushes him off. Chow wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Chow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Chow showed some decent athleticism there. Cortes trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Chow manages to pass to mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Felipe Cortes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cortes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
