The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veljanovski tries for a takedown but Law sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Law cracks a nice hook into Veljanovski's ribs.
Veljanovski wants to clinch but Law slips to the side
and Law counters with a stiff right hand.
Veljanovski moves to clinch but Law breaks away
and Law makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Law moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Veljanovski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Law as he jumps to the side.

and Law counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikola Veljanovski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Veljanovski is breathing heavily.
Veljanovski misses with a hook
and Law counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Veljanovski off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Law follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Veljanovski was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Laith Law!
Laith Law decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
