Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Simon Petrikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kalesh Nikov!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nikov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Petrikov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Petrikov struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petrikov is looking to reverse the position.

Petrikov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nikov off and has taken his back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A lull in the action here.
Nikov is trying to get back to his feet but Petrikov has full control of the position and if anything, Nikov has just worked his way into a worse spot.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Petrikov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nikov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Petrikov as he avoids it easily.
Nikov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Petrikov throws a low kick but Nikov avoids it.
Nikov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Petrikov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nikov somewhat.
Nikov has a takedown stuffed.
Petrikov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Petrikov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Simon Petrikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalesh Nikov.
Petrikov blocks a head kick by Nikov.
Petrikov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petrikov lands a big head kick that sends Nikov tumbling to the mat! Petrikov takes a step backwards and waves Nikov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Kalesh Nikov has been cut.
Kalesh Nikov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Petrikov lands with a good body shot.
Nikov is still on wobbly legs! Can Petrikov finish him?
Nikov shoots in but no luck this time.
Nikov drops his hands momentarily and Petrikov needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Nikov just on the top of the head. Nikov drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Nikov - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Simon Petrikov!
