Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vanapa Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Farofa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Animai comes to the cage accompanied by Here comes the hotstepper. Carlos Farofa has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vanapa Animai's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Farofa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Animai feints and as Farofa raises his hands in defense, Animai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Animai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Animai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Animai sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Farofa's guard.

Farofa tries to lock up and control but Animai gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Animai is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Farofa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Farofa shrugs it off.
Animai looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
