Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michaud Korrs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Revolution. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ron Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michaud Korrs!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Paul lands.


It looks like Michaud Korrs has been cut.
Korrs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Paul circles away quickly and effectively.
Paul scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Paul definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Korrs blocks a head kick by Paul.
Paul lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Paul scores with a leg kick.
Ron Paul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paul lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Korrs on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Paul scores with a hook.
Paul cracks the inside of Korrs's front leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Paul blocks a leg kick.
Paul lands with a slapping head kick.
Paul throws a sloppy head kick and Korrs moves out of range easily.
Korrs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Paul cracks Korrs with a right hand to the side of the head.
Korrs misses with an uppercut. Paul saw that one coming.
Paul throws a leg kick but Korrs sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Korrs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Paul slips under a jab from Korrs.
Korrs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Paul thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Korrs if he has to take too many more of those.
Korrs throws a low kick but Paul avoids it.
Paul looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Korrs dives in for a single leg takedown but Paul sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Korrs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paul lets loose with a powerful body kick. Korrs will feel that in the morning.
Korrs takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Korrs is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Korrs doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Korrs dodges the punch combination from Paul.
Paul connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Korrs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Korrs takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Korrs misses with an attempted mid kick.
Paul connects with an inside leg kick.
Paul looks for the body kick but Korrs saw that one coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Paul lands a nice leg kick that just misses Korrs's sensitive parts.
Korrs throws a lazy head kick
and Paul counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Korrs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Korrs is rocked!
Korrs's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Paul moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Korrs is still on wobbly legs! Can Paul finish him?
Paul throws a nice inside leg kick.
Korrs seems to have recovered his senses.
Korrs tries to clinch up.
Paul moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Korrs walks into a jab.
Korrs looks up at the clock. Bad move! Paul lands a right hand from hell, dropping Korrs. Paul pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Paul!
