Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rubin Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drago Punski! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stone was covering up waiting for the punch and Punski finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. Punski gets to his feet. Stone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Punski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Punski wants to take a breather but Stone is having none of it. Punski escapes and gets back to his feet. Stone shoots in looking for a takedown. Punski tries to sprawl out of it but Stone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Punski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Punski closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Stone missing with knees to the body.
Stone is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Punski leaning against his opponent.
Stone takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Rubin Stone has been cut. Stone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Punski walks away with a smile on his face. Stone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rubin Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stone. Punski gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stone can't find room to land a body shot as Punski controls the action.
Stone stalls. Punski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone is fighting off a takedown attempt but Punski is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stone to the mat. Stone regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Punski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stone controls Punski momentarily but Punski frees himself. Punski wants to get up but he can't break Stone's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Stone working a defensive guard here.
Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Punski stopping the sweep attempt from Stone. Punski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stone is keeping the position for now. Punski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Stone's guard. Punski content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Drago Punski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punski fails to land with a series of punches.
Punski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Stone is trying to get back to full guard. Stone has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Punski is on him like a limpet, forcing Stone back against the cage. Punski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stone clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Stone tries to roll but Punski sticks to his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Punski controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone covering up well and avoiding damage. Punski slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Punski working for a choke but Stone is defending well. Stone trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drago Punski dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rubin Stone's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Punski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard. Stone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Punski controls the pace. Punski passes Stone's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Punski wants to pass to mount but Stone is defending the position. Punski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Stone works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Punski forces his way into half guard. Punski is trying to control the action in half guard but Stone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Stone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stone. Stone is trying to keep Punski in close.
Punski is fighting to break Stone's control of his arms but Stone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stone wants to get back to his feet but Punski is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Drago Punski has got the better of the ground game so far. Punski trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Punski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stone napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Stone looks to move to half guard but instead Punski has passed into mount! Damn! Stone looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone rolls, trying to escape but Punski keeps control of the position.
Punski has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stone is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Punski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Stone to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stone shrugs it off. Stone wants to hold on but Punski pushes him away. Stone is looking to get to half guard. Stone wants to control but Punski is having none of it. Stone is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Punski trying to control but he's not successful this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stone is wriggling around trying to escape.

Drago Punski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rubin Stone's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Sloppy strikes from Punski. Those never looked like landing. Stone bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Punski's head. Stone moves into the clinch successfully.
Stone looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Punski has Stone pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Punski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Stone tumbling to the mat - Punski dives into Stone's guard. Punski being controlled here momentarily. Punski controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Punski sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Rubin Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Drago Punski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Punski controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Drago Punski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Punski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
