Hughes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wad to score with a decent uppercut.
Wad throws a low kick but Hughes avoids it.

Dick Wad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wad looks to land a left hand but Hughes moved out of range nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
