Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alonzo Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shawn Foster!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters tries to clinch but Foster moves out of range.

Foster gets a clinch.
Peters stalling in the clinch but Foster improves position.
Peters has Foster pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Foster manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Foster is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Peters stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Foster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Foster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Peters is fighting to break Foster's control of his arms but Foster is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foster has his foot on Peters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peters works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Foster misses with a body shot.

Peters shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Foster's guard.
Peters tries to stand but Foster is controlling from the bottom.
Peters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Foster is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Peters stands up and beckons Foster to join him on the feet.

Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Foster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Peters dives on top into guard.

Foster looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That was a close round but I would say that Alonzo Peters will probably get the nod.

Peters looks for a takedown but Foster sprawls well.
Peters takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Foster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alonzo Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Foster shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Peters eats them both and turns towards Foster to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Alonzo Peters has been cut.

Foster closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Peters is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Foster prevents a takedown attempt there.
Foster throws an elbow but it's blocked.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Peters is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Peters is fighting to break Foster's control of his arms but Foster is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Peters wants to stand but Foster has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Foster is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well Foster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
