Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenard Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danyalez Selby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danyalez Selby looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lenard Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danyalez Selby!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop shoots and misses

and Selby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Bishop looking for a guillotine here but Selby defends easily.
Bishop is trying to control the position but Selby postures up.

Bishop has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Selby is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bishop.
Bishop tries to improve position but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop is trying to work for a sweep but Selby has mounted him!

Selby looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Selby forces the positional change into back control.

You can see the frustration on Bishop's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bishop breaks Selby's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Bishop really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bishop is looking to stand up but Selby won't let him.
Selby is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bishop is controlling him.
Bishop trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Selby is trying to control the position but Bishop postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bishop looking to sit in guard and control but Selby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Selby wants to control from the top but Bishop keeps moving.

Bishop is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Selby defends well.
Selby pushes down on Bishop's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bishop is in trouble now - Selby has advanced to mount!

Selby looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Selby connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Selby avoids the attempt from Bishop to control.
Selby punishing his opponent with strikes.
Bishop is breathing heavily.
Selby in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Bishop working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Selby trying to control but Bishop is having none of it.

We've been informed that Selby has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Bishop is defending against the submission attempts here by Selby.
Bishop has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Selby is working away from the top position though.
Selby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bishop with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Selby moves into full mount! Bishop won't be happy about that!

Selby jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bishop is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bishop and Selby has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bishop pushes Selby away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Selby gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bishop is looking for a sweep.
Selby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bishop keeps working.
Bishop is trying to get back to half guard.
Selby is looking to take a break and control but Bishop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bishop sneaks back into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bishop is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Selby pulls his head out easily.

Selby is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Selby slips a nice elbow through Bishop's hands, connecting with Bishop's forehead.
Selby is trying to control the action in half guard but Bishop is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Selby throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Selby is trying to control the action in half guard but Bishop is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Selby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Selby passes to full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bishop manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Danyalez Selby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Selby is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bishop's half guard.
Selby thows a huge punch but Bishop dodges it nicely.

Selby looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Selby wants to control from the top but Bishop keeps moving.
Bishop is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Selby got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bishop has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Selby has managed to get both his arms back between Bishop's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Selby trying to control the position from guard on top but Bishop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bishop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Selby gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Selby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Selby passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Selby cracks Bishop with a big right hand but Bishop just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bishop wants to get back to his feet but Selby drags him back down.

Bishop trying to control from the bottom.
Selby trying to control the action but Bishop is working from the bottom.

Selby looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bishop looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bishop misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Selby is keen to just control but Bishop is a slippery customer.

Bishop looking for a kimura from the bottom but Selby passes into side control!
Selby landing strikes.
Selby landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Selby has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Selby wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bishop, who protects the arm well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bishop is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Selby is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Danyalez Selby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Selby has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
