Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Milford Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Graunas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milford Hunter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milford Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glenn Graunas !
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Graunas dives in and scores a takedown into Hunter's guard.
Graunas wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving.
Hunter has his hands on Graunas 's head, controlling the position.
Graunas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunter is proving hard to escape from.
Graunas trying to control but Hunter is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Graunas works over Hunter with some ground and pound from guard.

Graunas is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hunter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hunter has escaped and now he's on top!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Graunas can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hunter tries to stand but can't do so whilst Graunas controls his leg.

Graunas is pulling down on Hunter's head to control his posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hunter moves in looking to clinch but Graunas pushes him off.

Graunas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Graunas is in Hunter's guard.

Hunter appears to be looking for a big counter.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It seemed like Graunas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hunter lands with a slapping head kick.
Hunter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Graunas counters with a good low kick that Hunter was not able to check.
Milford Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch but Graunas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hunter gets caught napping as Graunas dives in and scores a takedown. Hunter manages to retain guard.

Hunter is working an open guard so Graunas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Graunas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Graunas tries to hold on but Hunter pushes him away.
Graunas is trying desperately to improve position.
Graunas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Graunas tries to control Hunter's body but Hunter pushes him off. Graunas squirms to his side and now Hunter has his back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Milford Hunter.
Well Graunas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
