Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark McCain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Laston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCain comes to the cage accompanied by Hate by Jay-Z. Laston has chosen Survivor-Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Laston will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Laston does it's job there.
Laston throws a head kick that misses
and McCain counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McCain sizes up Laston with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Laston throws a right hand that McCain ducks under and follows up with a left that McCain also avoids with ease.
McCain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Laston but Laston pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A punch combination from McCain misses.
McCain has been working on his balance at Rooster's Coop, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Laston.
McCain fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Laston moves out of range of the body kick.
McCain swings for the body but Laston moves out of range.
McCain blocks a head kick by Laston.
McCain drops down looking for a counter takedown but Laston sprawls and moves away.

McCain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Laston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McCain postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McCain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Laston looking to control.
McCain postures up in Laston's guard and throws a big left but Laston blocks it.
McCain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laston wants to control but McCain is keeping him busy.
McCain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCain tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Laston trying to pass the guard but McCain defending well.
McCain moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Laston seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Laston misses with an uppercut.
McCain changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
McCain throws a nice looking combination but Laston bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McCain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laston throws out the jab.

Laston throws a solid leg kick but McCain takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Laston.

McCain is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Laston.

McCain shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McCain showed some decent athleticism there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Laston is breathing heavily.
McCain has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Laston is rocked!
McCain is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Laston goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for McCain!

Mark McCain bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
