Vandelay is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by sizzla - solid as a rock. Nino Pagnotto had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pagnotto seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vandelay for as long as he can get away with.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pagnotto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vandelay is looking to get back to his feet here but Pagnotto is keeping cool and he's managed to take Vandelay's back.
Pagnotto slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nino Pagnotto just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
