Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Ancelotti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ancelotti defends well and Jackson ends up having to push Ancelotti into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jackson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ancelotti closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ancelotti defends it nicely. Ancelotti is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jackson. Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ancelotti tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Ancelotti's guard. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ancelotti's guard. Jackson passes the guard and advances to mount! Jackson lands a heavy elbow. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Jackson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Ancelotti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Jackson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
