Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Touma Saibara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike King!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saibara paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
King tries to clinch but Saibara moves out of range.
Saibara ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
King tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Saibara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Saibara was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Some wild striking there from King.
Saibara swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Saibara jabs King to the body, keeping him at a distance.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saibara misses with a wild body shot.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Saibara circles away.
Saibara shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Saibara throwing strikes but missing.
King doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saibara throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saibara cracks King with a solid left hand.
We've been hearing that Saibara has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Saibara postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Saibara working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Saibara postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Saibara forces his way into half guard.
Saibara looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Saibara drops an elbow to the side of King's head.
Saibara winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Saibara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saibara lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
King is still in real trouble! Can Saibara finish him?
Saibara scores with a big shot! King's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save King! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Touma Saibara!
