Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saif Rasheed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Jaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Saif Rasheed!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa tries to clinch there but Rasheed circles away.
And Rasheed tries to counter it with a takedown but Jaa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Jaa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Rasheed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jaa won't be happy with that.
Jaa parries the strikes from Rasheed easily there. Rasheed is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jaa to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on Rasheed's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rasheed working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Rasheed working the ground and pound but Jaa is defending the strikes.
Rasheed tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Rasheed has hold of Jaa's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jaa seems comfortable defending it but Rasheed has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jaa is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jaa is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rasheed couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Saif Rasheed!
Our winner, Saif Rasheed, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
