1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Apidej Sit Hirun! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Emelianenko backing away here, and Sit Hirun unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Emelianenko fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sit Hirun tries to counter by closing the distance. Emelianenko closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Sit Hirun takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sit Hirun scores with a jab. Emelianenko acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Sit Hirun takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Emelianenko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sit Hirun circles away. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sit Hirun napping and manages to drive through into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Sit Hirun tries to escape but Emelianenko is in control. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sit Hirun has escaped the position, nice work there. Emelianenko scores with punches from side control. Emelianenko is working to tighten his grip on Sit Hirun's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sit Hirun has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Emelianenko is really squeezing tight and eventually Sit Hirun passes out! Emelianenko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
