The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Sparta throws a left that rocks Blanchard and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! The Sparta dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Blanchard regain composure!
Blanchard struggling a bit here.
The Sparta misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The Sparta tries for a kimura but Blanchard is defending well.
The Sparta wants to stand but Blanchard is controlling his arm.
The Sparta is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blanchard can do to turn this around?

Blanchard has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
The Sparta is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

The Sparta shoots for a takedown but Blanchard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The Sparta throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Blanchard's head.
Blanchard is rocked!
The Sparta lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Blanchard is still on wobbly legs! Can The Sparta finish him?
The Sparta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blanchard's head.
Blanchard walks straight into a right hand from The Sparta - that's dropped him! The Sparta jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Blanchard from any more punishment! Blanchard complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
