PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath has chosen JUMP-by VAN HALEN as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tristan Gaines! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Heath! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heath digs a good hook to Gaines's body.
Gaines drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Heath lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nice body punch from Heath. Gaines could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gaines has closed the distance and engaged Heath in a clinch.
Heath tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Heath wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gaines lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Gaines breaks the clinch.
Heath scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Tristan Gaines has been cut. Heath goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Heath finds it's way through Gaines's defenses. Heath stuffs the takedown attempt from Gaines. Gaines gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaines takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Heath cracks Gaines with an open hand slap. Heath bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gaines's head backwards.
Gaines is rocked! Heath ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Gaines's jaw. Gaines's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Heath does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Josh Heath! Josh Heath spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
