Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royce Gracie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Gold! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold tries to clinch and Gracie counters with a stiff right hand. Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gold is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard. Gold not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gold wants to stand but Gracie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Gold trying to mount his opponent but Gracie defends it. Gracie trying to control here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie tries to roll over but Gold keeps him under control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gold wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gold tries to clinch but fails miserably so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gold trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gold is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gold works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie controlling from the top position. Gracie preventing the sweep. Gracie sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gold misses with a double jab
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Gold is keeping the position. Gold tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gold is keeping the position for now. Gold working a defensive guard here.
Gold is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. Gold working a defensive guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gracie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gracie takes the fight into the clinch. Gracie decides to pull guard. Gold won't allow Gracie to get back to his feet. Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gold doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gold manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gold got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gold has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royce Gracie dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
A head kick misses from Gold. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gold sprawls well. Gold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Anderson Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gold just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie thinks about the counter body kick. Gold fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Gold is now in Gracie's guard. Gold trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gracie's guard. We've been informed that Gracie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Gold pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gold can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Gold from controlling successfully. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gold wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Gold is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Royce Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gold has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gracie has passed into side control.
Gracie controlling the position from side mount. Gold tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gold is trying to get back to his feet. Gracie has hold of Gold's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gold seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gold is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gold is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
