Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Koff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manu Tuilagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Koff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manu Tuilagi! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuilagi moves out of range of the strikes. Koff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tuilagi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Our spies down at at Brown House inform us that Tuilagi has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Tuilagi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Koff defends it easily. Tuilagi keeping moving, preventing Koff from controlling successfully. Tuilagi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Koff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koff lands a couple of digs. Tuilagi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koff works a leg free and moves into half guard. Tuilagi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Koff missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Koff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tuilagi is keeping the position for now. Tuilagi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Koff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tuilagi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tuilagi wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koff pushes down on Tuilagi's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tuilagi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tuilagi is looking to improve his position.
Koff is thwarting Tuilagi's attempts to control the position. Tuilagi has hold of Koff's hands but Koff slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Koff not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koff is trying to control. Tuilagi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tuilagi wants to get back to full guard but Koff has passed into side control. Tuilagi can't do much from the bottom here. Tuilagi is looking to reverse the position.

Koff wants to control but Tuilagi is keeping him busy. Koff remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Tuilagi is trying to get back to half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tuilagi tries to buck Koff off but Koff is having none of it. Tuilagi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Koff off and has taken his back! Well, with Tuilagi on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Koff is tapping out... Can he escape the position? A lull in the action here.

Koff manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tuilagi's guard. Nice work there by Koff.

Koff closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Koff blocks the strikes from Tuilagi.

Koff is looking for a kimura but Tuilagi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Koff to get the leverage. Tuilagi regains full guard. Nicely done. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tuilagi keeping moving, preventing Koff from controlling successfully. Koff landing with the ground and pound. Koff trying to control but Tuilagi is working from the bottom. Tuilagi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Koff is aware though and is defending well. Koff trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bob Koff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Koff is looking to advance position but Tuilagi has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Koff is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tuilagi manages to capitalize on a mistake by Koff to take his back! Koff is taking damage to the body and head. Koff breaks Tuilagi's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Koff will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Koff thows a leg kick but Tuilagi checks it and Tuilagi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Koff! Tuilagi working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Koff is trying to get back to half guard. Tuilagi cracks Koff with an elbow. That is naaassty. Koff tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Tuilagi presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Koff is looking to get to half guard. Tuilagi raining down shots from the mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Koff regains half guard. Tuilagi wants to pass to mount but Koff is defending the position. Tuilagi throwing shots but Koff is blocking nicely. Koff is refusing to be controlled, as Tuilagi sits in half guard. Tuilagi working Koff over with strikes. Koff moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Tuilagi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koff preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tuilagi won't allow Koff to sweep him here. Tuilagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Koff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tuilagi is in close to Koff's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tuilagi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Koff looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tuilagi is one step ahead there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koff drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tuilagi trying to control the position.
Koff wants to control from the top but Tuilagi keeps moving. Tuilagi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Koff is aware though and is defending well. Tuilagi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Koff. Tuilagi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koff's guard.
Bob Koff is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Koff utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Koff is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tuilagi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Koff keeping moving, preventing Tuilagi from controlling successfully. Koff wants to sweep here but Tuilagi controlling him for the moment. Koff trying to keep a closed guard but Tuilagi is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tuilagi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Manu Tuilagi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Koff working a defensive guard here.
