Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abdul Abdullah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Rodelin! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abdullah forces Rodelin back against the cage and clinches. Rodelin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rodelin is looking to take this one to the mat. Abdullah pushes off an throws an elbow but Rodelin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Rodelin wants a takedown but no success here.

The cut above Brian Rodelin's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Abdullah pushes off an throws an elbow but Rodelin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Rodelin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rodelin tries to break free but Abdullah pushes him back against the cage. Abdullah lands an elbow just above Rodelin 's eye. Rodelin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Abdullah uses from the top position. Abdullah in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Abdullah wants to stand and escape but instead Rodelin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Abdullah has his hands on Rodelin's head, controlling the position. Abdullah looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Abdullah wants to improve his position but instead Rodelin has moved into half guard.
Rodelin decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodelin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rodelin decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Abdullah looks to clinch and Rodelin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Abdullah looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Abdullah working for a triangle but Rodelin defends it easily.
Rodelin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abdullah swivels though and keeps the full guard. Abdullah has control of Rodelin's left arm, preventing Rodelin from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodelin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Abdullah is keeping the position for now. Rodelin preventing the sweep. Abdullah looking to control.
Rodelin advances position into side control! Rodelin advances nicely into full mount. Abdullah is trying to escape the mount.
A nice elbow there by Rodelin. Rodelin wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Rodelin stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Abdullah throws a hook to the side of Rodelin's head but Rodelin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodelin darts in and clinches Abdullah up against the cage. Rodelin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Abdullah pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rodelin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Abdullah. Rodelin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rodelin drives through with a takedown into guard. Abdullah wants to sweep but no luck. Abdullah on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Abdullah tries to get out of the position. Rodelin passes Abdullah's left leg - he's now in half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rodelin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abdullah keeps working. Rodelin passes to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brian Rodelin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brian Rodelin's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Abdullah waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rodelin. Nice defenses there by Rodelin. Rodelin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Abdullah to the ground. Rodelin is now in Abdullah's guard. Rodelin advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Abdullah's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rodelin has knee on belly and moves into mount. Abdullah is looking to improve his position but Rodelin isn't that keen on the idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abdullah holds on, trying desperately to control. Abdullah is in all sorts of trouble here.

Rodelin has isolated one of Abdullah's arms. Abdullah looking to fight him off but Rodelin twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
