Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Javier Arroyo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Great One!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Darius Henderson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One swings widly with a right hand
and Arroyo counters with an outside leg kick.
Arroyo is looking to clinch.
One has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Arroyo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Arroyo lands a right hook to the body.

One feints and as Arroyo raises his hands in defense, One changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Arroyo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. One doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. One manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

One loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
One must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Arroyo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but One can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Arroyo is trying to maintain the position but One is very close to passing his half guard.
One thows a huge punch but Arroyo dodges it nicely.

Arroyo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. One is working away from the top position though.
Arroyo has hold of One's hands but One slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

One darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
One prevents Arroyo from improving his position.
One not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
One thows a huge punch but Arroyo dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arroyo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

One seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Arroyo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Arroyo wants to control but One is keeping busy and won't allow it.
One throws a strike but Arroyo avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Arroyo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. One manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if One can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Javier Arroyo will probably get the nod.

Arroyo throws a looping overhand right but One ducks down to avoid it.
Arroyo leaves One with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Arroyo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arroyo wants it to stay on the feet.

One bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Arroyo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in One's guard.

One wants to stand but Arroyo is controlling the position.
Arroyo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
One is trying to keep Arroyo in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

One avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Arroyo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from One! But no joy.

One shoots in for a double leg but Arroyo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

One drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
One working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Arroyo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Arroyo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. One gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
