Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shoddy Body!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John McEnroe!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Body takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McEnroe scores with a three punch combo!
Body looking to score a takedown here. McEnroe is defending well but Body drives through and ends up in McEnroe's guard.
Body trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
McEnroe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Body is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McEnroe.
McEnroe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McEnroe is looking for a sweep.
Body is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McEnroe has escaped the position, nice work there.
Body tries to stand but McEnroe is controlling his head.
McEnroe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
McEnroe is working to avoid the ground and pound but Body connects with a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McEnroe regains half guard.
McEnroe has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Body escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Body!
Body wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McEnroe, who protects the arm well.
McEnroe is trying to work for a sweep but Body has mounted him!

Body sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Body's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McEnroe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Body working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. McEnroe turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Body off and cradles McEnroe's limp body as Body celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Shoddy Body!
John McEnroe spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back.'.
