The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Large dives in and grabs Battaglia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Battaglia pushes down on Large's head and hops out.
Large scores with a leg kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Large or perhaps it was just good defense by Battaglia, which made it look bad.
Battaglia is trying hard to land a takedown here. Large sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Large is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Nice sprawl there from Battaglia as Large shoots in.
Brady Battaglia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of StorKaptajn Large.
Battaglia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Battaglia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Large can do anything to dispel that myth.
You can see the frustration on Large's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Large tries to improve position but can't.

Battaglia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Large tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Battaglia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Battaglia tries for a kimura but Large is defending well.
Battaglia is looking to take a break and control but Large is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Battaglia is working to tighten his grip on Large's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Large has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Battaglia is really squeezing tight and eventually Large passes out! Battaglia breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
