1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Sledgehammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Kimbro! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimbro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sledgehammer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kimbro in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Joe Kimbro just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kimbro clinches up against the cage. Sledgehammer is working for takedown but Kimbro is calmly controlling the position for now. Kimbro has Sledgehammer pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kimbro pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sledgehammer tumbling to the mat - Kimbro dives into Sledgehammer's guard. Kimbro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kimbro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimbro landing with the ground and pound. Kimbro showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimbro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sledgehammer shoots and misses and Kimbro holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kimbro is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sledgehammer can't fight it off and eventually Kimbro manages to take the fight to the floor. Sledgehammer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Sledgehammer has a closed guard, preventing Kimbro from standing up. Kimbro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kimbro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kimbro lands in his opponent's guard. Kimbro looking to pass the guard. Sledgehammer being controlled here, momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kimbro turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kimbro manages to end up in side control. Kimbro taking a breather here.

Kimbro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sledgehammer regains guard immediately. Sledgehammer being controlled here, momentarily. Kimbro works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Sledgehammer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kimbro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Let's hope that Kimbro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Kimbro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Sledgehammer with a lazy takedown attempt and Kimbro counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sledgehammer! Kimbro looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sledgehammer tries to get to full guard but Kimbro has control of the leg. Kimbro with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Sledgehammer is looking to improve his position.
Kimbro controlling the pace. Kimbro is thwarting Sledgehammer's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimbro performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Sledgehammer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kimbro counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kimbro gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Kimbro prevents Sledgehammer from getting back to his feet. Joe Kimbro has got the better of the ground game so far. Kimbro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Peter Sledgehammer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Kimbro is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kimbro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sledgehammer swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sledgehammer is trying to control the position but Kimbro postures up. Kimbro is fighting to break Sledgehammer's control of his arms but Sledgehammer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kimbro stays in close to Sledgehammer's body and controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Kimbro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kimbro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
