Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Lee Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Imre Szeltan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott's entrance music is Go, Go Power Rangers. A fine choice. The key to victory for Jason Lee Scott has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Lee Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Imre Szeltan!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Imre Szeltan has been cut.
Szeltan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scott sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Scott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Szeltan was well out of range. Poor timing from Scott.
Scott scores with a nice body kick.
Scott keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Szeltan.
Scott throws a sloppy head kick

and Szeltan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scott's guard.
Szeltan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scott is keeping the position for now.
Szeltan with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Szeltan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Szeltan passes Scott's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Szeltan is trying to control. Scott wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Szeltan is looking to stall here but Scott recovers full guard.
Scott is looking to stand up but Szeltan isn't so interested in that idea.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Szeltan on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Szeltan won't allow Scott to sweep him here.
Scott is trying to keep Szeltan in close.
Szeltan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Scott wants to get back to his feet but Szeltan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Szeltan is looking to work some ground and pound but Scott has wrist control.
Scott keeping moving, preventing Szeltan from controlling successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Szeltan wants to pass the guard but Scott is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Scott lands a head shot.
Jason Lee Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Szeltan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Scott avoids the body shot from Szeltan.
Scott digs a good body shot into Szeltan's ribs.
Szeltan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jason Lee Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Scott misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Szeltan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A swing and a miss from Scott.
Good standup being displayed there by Scott as he connects with a hook.
Scott cracks Szeltan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Scott pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Szeltan back to the cage. Scott follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Scott fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Szeltan on the side of the head.
Scott looks to land a right hand but Szeltan moved out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Scott. Those never looked like landing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scott is looking to chop away at Szeltan's legs.
Szeltan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Szeltan lands with a good body shot.
Nice shot lands for Scott.
Szeltan blocks a jab.
Szeltan shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott tries to sprawl out of it but Szeltan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Scott is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Scott connects with a body shot.
Nice cross by Scott.
Scott lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Scott misses with a straight right.
Szeltan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scott moves into range and connects with a jab.
A head kick misses from Scott.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Scott throws a shot to the body.
A big left from Szeltan misses.
Szeltan misses with an uppercut. Scott saw that one coming.

Scott lands a left and a right that send Szeltan crashing to the mat, dazed. Scott thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Szeltan is rocked!


That has opened up Imre Szeltan's cut even more.
Szeltan is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Szeltan fails with the takedown
and Scott makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Szeltan really felt that one!
Szeltan is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him?
Scott drops Szeltan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Szeltan! Scott dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Lee Scott!
