Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Turn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kurt Boss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William Turn! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turn shoots and misses and Boss counters with a series of strikes. Turn will be more careful next time no doubt. Turn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Boss defends well and Turn ends up having to push Boss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Boss. Turn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boss's guard. Turn with a nice head shot there. Turn distracts Boss with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Boss manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Turn manages to get himself to full guard.
Turn trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Boss wants to pass the guard but Turn is keeping the position. Turn has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Turn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Turn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Despite the aggression on Turn's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
