PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Afro Samurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiri Brodski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brodski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cold Blue Coma- Downset kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jiri Brodski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samurai scores with a kick to the midsection.
Samurai throws a big shot that misses.

and Brodski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Samurai cracks Brodski with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brodski takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Samurai lands with a nice body kick.

Brodski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Samurai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Brodski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Samurai.
Brodski is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Afro Samurai will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Brodski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Samurai did well to prevent Brodski getting side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Afro Samurai will probably get the nod.

Brodski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Samurai is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
