30 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethelbart Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Kincaid! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kincaid if he has to take too many more of those.
Takahashi connects with a solid leg kick. Kincaid takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Billy Kincaid has been cut. Kincaid throws a big shot that misses. Takahashi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kincaid looks winded! Takahashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Takahashi lunges at Kincaid with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kincaid's hand. Takahashi thuds his shin into the meat of Kincaid's side. Takahashi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Takahashi. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kincaid throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Takahashi is looking to slow Kincaid down with leg kicks. Takahashi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kincaid's sensitive parts. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kincaid has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Takahashi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kincaid's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kincaid duly obliges. Takahashi lands a big head kick that sends Kincaid tumbling to the mat! Takahashi takes a step backwards and waves Kincaid back to his feet - he wants the finish!
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Takahashi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kincaid will feel that in the morning. Takahashi tried to score with a low kick but Kincaid checks it. A shot to the body from Takahashi misses and Kincaid counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Takahashi lands a big uppercut and Kincaid crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kincaid looks OK. Takahashi waves Kincaid back to his feet!
Kincaid is rocked! Takahashi scores with a spinning back kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takahashi lands with a nice body punch. Kincaid has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takahashi. Takahashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kincaid looks like he wants to counter punch here. Takahashi throws a sloppy head kick and Kincaid moves out of range easily. Kincaid tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Takahashi cracks Kincaid with a good jab. Takahashi cracks Kincaid with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kincaid looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Takahashi finish him?
Kincaid is still on wobbly legs! Can Takahashi finish him? Takahashi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kincaid throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kincaid seems to have recovered his senses. Takahashi throws a looping overhand right but Kincaid ducks down to avoid it. Kincaid throws a hook to the side of Takahashi's head but Takahashi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kincaid keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kincaid misses with a kick to the body and Takahashi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Takahashi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kincaid. Kincaid misses with a straight left. Ethelbart Takahashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Takahashi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kincaid. Kincaid tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Takahashi wants to land a leg kick but Kincaid is out of range. Takahashi throws a leg kick but Kincaid checks it. Kincaid raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Takahashi throws a leg kick but Kincaid sees it coming and checks it nicely. Takahashi avoids the head kick by Kincaid.
Takahashi swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi misses with a head kick.
Kincaid's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Takahashi swings away with a leg kick that misses. Takahashi lands with a right hand.
That has opened up Billy Kincaid's cut even more. A jab from Kincaid does it's job there. Kincaid misses with a wild body shot. Kincaid throws a jab when Takahashi was well out of range. Takahashi misses with a body shot
and Kincaid counters with a flying knee. Nice. Takahashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kincaid moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Takahashi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Takahashi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Takahashi throws a low kick but Kincaid moves out of range easily. Takahashi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kincaid tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takahashi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ethelbart Takahashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takahashi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
It seemed like Kincaid was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Takahashi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takahashi scores with a jab to the body. Takahashi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Takahashi throws a head kick that misses. Kincaid thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Takahashi if he has to take too many more of those.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takahashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Takahashi lands a head shot. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Takahashi! This one is all over!
