Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Damozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Wuzz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Damozzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Wuzz! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wuzz shoots in for a takedown but Damozzi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wuzz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Damozzi tries to avoid it but Wuzz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Damozzi to the ground. Damozzi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Damozzi moves into the clinch. Wuzz tries to pull guard but Damozzi holds him up against the cage and eventually Wuzz drops back down to his feet.
Frank Damozzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Wuzz. Wuzz wants to take the fight to the mat but Damozzi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wuzz is trying to drag Damozzi to the mat but Damozzi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Wuzz as Damozzi tries to tie him up. Damozzi is working Wuzz over against the cage. Damozzi stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wuzz tries to pull guard but Damozzi holds him up against the cage and eventually Wuzz drops back down to his feet.
Wuzz has Damozzi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Damozzi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Wuzz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Damozzi after a bit of a struggle. Wuzz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wuzz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Damozzi wants to control from the top but Wuzz keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damozzi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wuzz is looking for a triangle but Damozzi pushes his legs off easily.

Damozzi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wuzz's guard.
Wuzz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Damozzi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Damozzi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've been hearing that Damozzi has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Damozzi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Damozzi forces his way into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Damozzi lands a nice short elbow. Damozzi is looking to advance position but Wuzz won't allow it. Wuzz throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Damozzi is taking a breather. Wuzz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wuzz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Damozzi scores with a couple of nice shots. Wuzz looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Damozzi not doing much here.
Wuzz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wuzz. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damozzi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wuzz's sensitive parts. Wuzz slips a jab and a cross from Damozzi.

Damozzi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wuzz quickly recovers to half guard. Wuzz wants to get back to full guard. Ground and pound from Damozzi. Wuzz tries to get to full guard but Damozzi has control of the leg. Damozzi is nestled in close to Wuzz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Damozzi tries to pass to full mount but Wuzz defends it. Wuzz tries to get to full guard but Damozzi has control of the leg. Wuzz is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Damozzi jumps into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wuzz tries to bench press Damozzi off him but Damozzi keeps the position. Damozzi creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Damozzi lands a decent elbow from side control. Damozzi cracks Wuzz with a big right hand but Wuzz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Damozzi landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Frank Damozzi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wuzz manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Damozzi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Damozzi. Damozzi wants to sweep here but Wuzz controlling him for the moment. Damozzi has his hands on Wuzz's head, controlling the position. Damozzi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Damozzi with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Damozzi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wuzz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Damozzi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Damozzi cracks Wuzz with a solid left hand. Wuzz wants to sweep but no luck. Damozzi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Our spies down at at London MMA Club inform us that Wuzz has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Damozzi is stalling in the full guard. Damozzi is looking to work some ground and pound but Wuzz has wrist control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Damozzi working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wuzz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Damozzi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wuzz moves forwards but Damozzi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wuzz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Damozzi as he avoids it easily. Wuzz shoots in but Damozzi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wuzz blocks the body kick.

Wuzz manages to regain half guard. Good work. Damozzi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Wuzz taking some punishment here, with Damozzi in his half guard. Damozzi stalling. Wuzz tries to get to full guard but Damozzi has control of the leg.

Wuzz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. David Wuzz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wuzz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wuzz is striking from the bottom but Damozzi uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Damozzi stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Damozzi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Damozzi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
