Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asa Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Asa Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thor Odinson!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odinson wants to clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Snow.
Odinson doesn't manage to clinch there - Snow circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Odinson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Snow is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Snow clinches up with Odinson and pushes him back against the cage.
Odinson goes for a takedown attempt but Snow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Snow blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Odinson is working for takedown but Snow is calmly controlling the position for now.

Asa Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Odinson.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Odinson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Snow has taken the fight to the clinch.

Snow digs a right hand into Odinson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Odinson's gas tank.
Odinson is trying to break the clinch but Snow has him pressed against the cage.
Odinson misses with a punch to the body.
Odinson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Snow pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Snow scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Snow rushes Odinson and presses him up against the cage.

Snow jumps guard and drags Odinson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

and Snow counters with a nice low kick that buckles Odinson's knee momentarily.

Snow takes the fight into the clinch.
Odinson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Snow avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Snow closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Odinson lands with a left to the head.
Snow keeps control of Odinson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Odinson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Odinson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Snow throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Odinson on the side of the head.

Snow trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Odinson wants to stand but Snow is controlling his posture from full guard.
Odinson looking to sit in guard and control but Snow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Snow throws an elbow that misses. Odinson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Snow's guard. Nice move by Odinson!

Snow will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Snow is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Snow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Snow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Odinson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Odinson has escaped and now he's on top!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Snow drops down looking for an ankle pick but Odinson pulls his leg out and moves away.

A punch lands to the side of Odinson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Snow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Nice straight punches there by Snow. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Snow.

Snow checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

enabling Snow to counter with a crisp jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Odinson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Snow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Odinson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Asa Snow.
Well Snow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
