Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wendell Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Beltshazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martins has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Wendell Martins could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan Beltshazar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wendell Martins !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Beltshazar!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins throws a body kick that misses.
Martins is breathing heavily.
Beltshazar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Martins seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Some wild striking there from Beltshazar.
Martins appears to be looking for a big counter.
Beltshazar falls off balance throwing a combination
and Martins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Martins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beltshazar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beltshazar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beltshazar thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Beltshazar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martins is aware though and is defending well.
Beltshazar is trying to keep Martins in close.
Beltshazar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Martins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Beltshazar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Beltshazar dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Beltshazar.
Martins gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Martins tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Beltshazar is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Martins buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Martins !! Martins is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Beltshazar throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Beltshazar!
