The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gloom shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kent sprawls well. Kent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gloom gets slowly back to his feet.
Kent throws a shot from downtown. Gloom moves away and avoids it.
Gloom thows a left - swing and a miss!

Gloom shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gloom showed some decent athleticism there.
Kent wants to get back to full guard.
Gloom tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kent knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gloom is looking for a kimura but Kent is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gloom to get the leverage.

Gloom seems to be working for a kimura but Kent defends the submission attempt.
Kent is trying to maintain the position but Gloom is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kent wants to get back to full guard.
Kent won't allow Gloom to pass to mount.
Kent tries to roll over but Gloom keeps him under control.
Kent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gloom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gloom is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kent can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Gloom is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gloom extends the arm and Kent is forced to tap!
