Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Meek Flanander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Poletto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Meek Flanander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Poletto! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poletto lands a head kick!
Fedor Poletto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Poletto looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Flanander closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Flanander wants to control but Poletto is keeping him busy. Flanander is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Poletto has escaped the position, nice work there. The referee asks Flanander politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Flanander prefers to stall for the moment though. Flanander tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flanander has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Poletto wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Flanander working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Poletto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flanander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Flanander has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Poletto! Poletto is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Flanander looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Poletto is squirming around, avoiding Flanander's attempts to control the action. Flanander is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Poletto can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Poletto can do anything to dispel that myth. Flanander is trying to take his opponent's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flanander working for a guillotine from mount but Poletto is in no mood to give up. Poletto trying desperately to get to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Flanander jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Poletto manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Poletto tries to bum rush Flanander with a series of wild strikes but Flanander uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Poletto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poletto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flanander moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Poletto throws a right and a left that both miss. Flanander blocks a head kick by Poletto.
Poletto moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Flanander avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Poletto lands a head kick!
Nice body kick from Poletto. Poletto chopping away at his opponent's legs.
No luck for Flanander with that takedown attempt. Poletto throws a quick inside leg kick. Poletto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Meek Flanander dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Flanander will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Flanander closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Flanander seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Poletto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Poletto is trying to stand up here but Flanander is controlling him well. Flanander is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Flanander is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Poletto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flanander. Poletto is refusing to be controlled, as Flanander sits in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poletto pushes Flanander off looking to stand but Flanander dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A solid leg kick lands there for Poletto.
Poletto throws a push kick but Flanander slaps the foot to one side. Good leg kick by Poletto there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Poletto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Flanander gets a takedown into half guard. Flanander prevents Poletto from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flanander is keen to just control but Poletto is a slippery customer. Poletto wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poletto is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Flanander seems to be working for a kimura but Poletto defends the submission attempt. Poletto is trying to stand back up but Flanander is controlling him
Flanander is keen to just control but Poletto is a slippery customer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Poletto misses with a wild combination.

Poletto throws a leg kick which misses Flanander's front leg but catches the back leg as Flanander tries to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poletto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Flanander counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flanander. Flanander trying to control but Poletto is working from the bottom. Poletto is looking to stand up but Flanander isn't so interested in that idea. Flanander wants to control from the top but Poletto keeps moving. Flanander won't allow Poletto to get back to his feet. Flanander is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Poletto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Poletto keeping full guard, as Flanander tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poletto pushes Flanander off and gets back to his feet.

Meek Flanander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Poletto lands a two punch combo.
Poletto moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Poletto looks to land a body kick but Flanander moved away. Poletto throws a head kick that Flanander semi-blocks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Meek Flanander dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Flanander shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Flanander was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Flanander is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Poletto has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Flanander won't let Poletto get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Flanander working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Poletto tries to buck Flanander off but he can't manage it. Flanander throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Poletto has his hands clasped together but Flanander breaks the hold and Poletto is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Flanander!
