Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Jessup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jilly Bean McQueen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Jessup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jilly Bean McQueen! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McQueen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McQueen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jessup stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jessup misses with a looping left. We've been told by Jessup's head coaches at The GYM (20 elite coaches on the Island !!!) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. McQueen misses with an uppercut. McQueen shoots in for a double leg but Jessup sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A big left from McQueen misses. McQueen misses with a straight right. McQueen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jessup is landing a low percentage of strikes. McQueen fails with the takedown and Jessup counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jessup throws a front kick that sends McQueen stumbling back into the cage. Jessup buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jessup ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A punch combination from Jessup misses. Sloppy strikes from Jessup. Those never looked like landing. Jessup tries to clinch up but McQueen circles away and keeps his distance. McQueen darts in looking for a takedown but Jessup gets double underhooks and turns McQueen into the cage. Carl Jessup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jilly Bean McQueen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jessup takes one to the chin there. Jessup tries to close the distance and clinch up but McQueen swats him away and circles back towards the center. McQueen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McQueen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McQueen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McQueen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jessup. Jessup connects with a body shot. Jessup uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McQueen. McQueen on the wrong end of a nice jab. McQueen misses with an uppercut. Jessup saw that one coming. McQueen drives through with a takedown into guard. Jessup keeping full guard, as McQueen tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McQueen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McQueen advances position into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McQueen is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jessup is trying to escape and McQueen transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jessup is forced to tap! Nice work there by McQueen! Very nice indeed!

Making sure that Alcatraz Apparel logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Carl Jessup spoke after the fight, saying '
